Visiting the ole' stompin ground...

We had a great time during our short stop in Searcy,AR. We got to visit with our great friends, Jason and Angela Grace who we knew from our time living in Illinois. They just moved to AR this month and had us over for grilled hamburgers and fun! Ben, Braden and Collin had a blast playing together out in their backyard.Me and Angela

Sweet little Allison!! So pretty!!
We stayed in a hotel in the oh so fabulous Super 8 Motel in Searcy. Doug and Rochelle met us there to spend the weekend and celebrate our teacher and mentor, Mrs. Neva White's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We got to spend some time on Sunday afternoon walking around Harding campus...getting our pictures make in the Harding Swings.... our kids loved playing together!! I am sorry they don't get to play together on a regular basis!!
Braden and Ben trying to clime into the baptistry...or shall we say the ring ceremony fountain!
We went to Mrs. Neva and Dr. Bill's anniversary reception at their daughter's house Sunday afternoon, then we were able to go over and spend some quality time visiting with them at their house on Sunday evening. They told us great stories, gave us some advice from a couple who is happily married after 50 years. It was so great to get to reconnect with them after so many years!Mrs. Neva playing, "My Romance" for us and Dr. Bill looking at her in admiration.
This is how I will always remember my sweet Mrs. Neva!! I am so glad she is still able to play!! It was such a special treat for us to hear her!

Exhausted boys!!
In case you are wondering where our family's Harding Swing Picture is...it is the one at the top of the blog behind the title....I think our first family picture up there!!
